Physiotherapy

"The flat Gyroboard is an extremely versatile piece of equipment that can be used in many different ways; core stability, injury prevention, injury rehabilitation, sporting performance enhancement.

I use it extensively in my clinic, my physiotherapists appreciate the versatility it provides in our gym and all my clients thoroughly enjoy using it. Its multi-purpose nature allows our clients to work through a progressive, challenging and enjoyable rehabilitation. It is especially effective for rehabilitating from knee surgery and ankle injuries.

In addition, its portability means that I can take it to sporting trainings venues and to Silver Fern camps. The Gyroboard can be used court side/field side for athletes who are rehabilitating and cannot partake in practice or used in challenging circuit training.

Within a gym environment it is a useful tool for clients and personal trainers.

Try it – it’s fun!

Kayaking

"The Gyroboard is a particularly versatile and functional piece of training equipment. Although it can be extensively used by land-based athletes as part of their balance-proprioceptive training, I have been able to extend its use to a Slalom Kayak athlete. This particular athlete has successfully adapted selected sport-specific strength/stability exercises and combined these with the use of the Gyroboard, to give a more 'water-like' feel to their land-based preparation."

Stephen Hill-Haas
Strength & Conditioning Coach

"I do the sport of White Water Slalom Kayaking. I am off to France this year to compete in the 2010 Junior world championships and hope to make the New Zealand Senior team later this year. My sport requires a lot of balance and core strength. I have been using to Gyroboard to help in this aspect of my training. It is part of my gym exercises to strengthen my core. The Gyroboard has been a great help to me in my build up to Junior World Kayaking competition, allowing me to keep a flat boat when racing. Their is a huge future for Gyroboard in my sport."
